Press Releases

(Office of the Governor : Kolonia, Pohnpei, FM) On Monday, January 10, 2011, Mr. John Shroer of MAHI International turn over to Governor Ehsa an Emergency Ambulance and 15 hospital beds with mattresses. MAHI means Mission Across His Islands and the word MAHI in Pohnpei also means (breadfruit) and  if you break it up into two syllabuses and pronounce it, MA  AHI  means this fruit is not mine but belongs to god almighty. It is a sacred fruit in Pohnpei.

According to the MAHI International Executive Director Mr. Shroer, the plan is to develop the emergency services of Pohnpei State so that in the future one ambulance will serve one municipality only. Collaborating on  this project are the MAHI International, Departments of Public Safety and Health Services.

The Honorable Governor Ehsa on behalf of the Pohnpei State Government took the podium and thanked John Shroer  and assure him that Pohnpei State, especially the Departments of Public Safety and Health Services will take good care of these gifts. Governor said, we will not stop but continue to thank people like you and your organization.
